In April 2011, students and teachers from Roger Ludlowe Middle School in Fairfield, Connecticut took on a Humanity Now foreign service water filter project in Tambayacu, Ecuador. Students raised $2,000.00 in a walk-a-thon entitled “The Walk for World Water” and used the money to purchase and deliver 40 Sawyer Point 1 water filter for the Tambayacu community. […]
Recently, middle school student Kelsey Lewellyn visited the Ongota community, part of HumanityNow’s Ecuador project. Kelsey wrote an article about the trip, and her school’s fundraising efforts, for AmazingKids! magazine. Here’s the link.
Last year, students from Roger Ludlowe Middle School in Fairfield, CT visited the Ongota community in Ecuador and helped them recover from a recent flood. Several high school students returned to Dakar, Senegal last week to visit the school in Guinaw Rails, L’Ecole Grande Royale. They had a great time! Check back here soon for their photos and stories of their adventures there.
